Weddings at Worthington United Methodist Church

At Worthington United Methodist we consider it a privilege to participate in your marriage. As written in the Discipline of the United Methodist Church: "We affirm the sanctity of the marriage covenant which is expressed in love, mutual support, personal commitment, and shared fidelity between a man and a woman. We believe that God's blessing rests upon such marriage, whether or not there are children of the union…." (Part III, Paragraph 71-C).

We hope to help you create a carefully planned service which will help make the day a memorable experience. Our clergy, church staff, wedding coordinators and organist will help to create a worship experience so that this service celebrates the presence of God in your covenantal union.

How to begin arranging your wedding at Worthington UMC: Arrange the date and time of your wedding with our Projects Coordinator, Mary Wetterauer. She will check your choice against the calendar of the church and help make your arrangements if the date is available as well as connect you with a wedding coordinator. Member's weddings may be booked one year in advance; non-members weddings may be booked nine months in advance. (Note: There will be no weddings scheduled between Palm Sunday and Easter, Thanksgiving weekend, nor the week before and after Christmas. There will be no weddings scheduled on weekends that conflict with our Music Series).
